Happy New Year, Families! We have a busy and exciting winter season ahead. From sawdust at the Derby Clinic to the checkered flag at the Pinewood Derby, here is everything you need to know.

Scout Accounts & Dues

Dues will be invoiced as soon as scout accounts are credited with their popcorn sales earnings. If you have specific questions about your balance, please reach out to our Treasurer, David Kitz.

Pinewood Derby: The Great Race

Car Kit Distribution: Every Scout gets one free kit! If you didn't get yours in December, pick it up at the 1/13 Den Meeting or email or text message Chris to arrange for pickup.

• Extra Kits: Parents, siblings and friends can join the fun! Extra kits are available for $7.

Car Clinic Open House  Need help cutting, shaping, sanding or painting?

• When: Saturday, Jan 17th | 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM (Sign up for a 1-hour time slot)

• Where: Cummings Garage (16534 Teak Dr, Noblesville - park on the street)

• What to bring: Your car kit and design ideas. We provide the tools and expertise!

Impound Night (Check-in) 

• When: Friday, Jan 30th | 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM

• Details: Cars must be weighed and measured to meet Official Rules. Photos and pit passes will be made!

The Big Race! 

• When: Saturday, Jan 31st | 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM (Arrive by 12:45 PM)

• Concessions: Snacks/Drinks will be sold for $0.50. Please bring some cash for kids to visit the concessions stand. Please bring the following to donate:

  • Lions: Drinks 

  • Tigers & Wolves: Chips/Salty Snacks 

  • Bears/Webelos/AOLs: Sweet Treats 

Camp K Fun Day

Take a break on Super Bowl Sunday for some camp magic!

• When: Feb 8th | 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM

• Where: Camp Kikthawenund (About 20 mins up highway 37 in Frankton, IN)

• Activities: Home base is the dining hall for food, indoor fun, and camp exploring!

Snow Tubing at Koteewi

Let's hit the hills! This is an optional family outing for anyone who wants to enjoy the snow.

• When: Feb 15th (Backup date: Feb 21st)

• Details: This is a "pay your own way" event. Please check the Koteewi Adventures Website for pricing, waivers, and to book your tickets!

Summer Camp 2026

It’s time to start thinking about summer! We'll be picking dates and signing everyone up to attend soon - early bird registration ends March 31st. Full info is available at JoinScoutsIn.org.

• Lions/Tigers: Day Camp (Mon-Fri) at Camp Belzer.

• Wolves/Bears*: Pack Overnight Camp (Fri–Sun) at Camp Kikthawenund.

• Bears*/Webelos: Adventure Camp (Mon-Thurs) at Camp Kikthawenund.

• AOL: Scouts BSA camp with their new troop!

*Current Bears (soon to be Webelos) can choose to go to either the pack overnight camp or adventure camp.
